Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: The results of the "Zero Injury Week" events have been summarized in the Vitebsk region

For the first time in the Vitebsk region, by the order of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, from May to November 2021, all regions and structural divisions of the executive committee implemented a set of additional measures to ensure safe working conditions at workplaces.

The goal is to prevent cases of occupational injuries in organizations.

During the event, territories and production facilities were inspected for compliance with labor protection requirements, control was organized over the state of working conditions at workplaces, as well as over the correct use of personal protective equipment. Training in safe methods and techniques for performing work was organized, briefings, internships, and knowledge testing on labor protection issues were conducted. Seminars, meetings, and sessions of labor protection commissions on topical issues of organizing safe work were held.

The "Zero Injuries" concept includes seven rules of safe work that must be observed in enterprises, regardless of their type of activity, ownership, and number of employees. If everyone at their own level follows these regulations, occupational injuries will be reduced to a minimum.

A new approach to organizing prevention, combining three areas – safety, labor hygiene, and employee well-being at all levels of production, has made it possible to achieve the set goal.

In the Vitebsk region, during the period of events in the regions, no cases of occupational injuries to employees were recorded.
