Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection: The month-long campaign to ensure safe working conditions during the winter period has been extended in the Vitebsk region

 Until January 30, to prevent accidents and extraordinary emergencies in the Vitebsk region, the month-long campaign to ensure safe working conditions in the winter period has been extended.  

 Chairpersons of district and city executive committees, heads of state bodies, organizations, and economic entities have been instructed to carry out a set of measures aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens, preventing and warning against accidents involving people, with particular attention to preventing the adverse effects of low temperatures in the workplace, and increasing labor productivity and work capacity.

 Employees in certain professions, due to the nature of their work, are forced to work outdoors in adverse meteorological conditions: construction workers, road workers, track layers, and others. The main task of the employer is to ensure safe working conditions, provide for additional breaks for warming up and rest, and issue protective equipment for working in low air temperatures.

 Heads are personally responsible for organizing the clearing of snow and ice from the roofs of residential buildings, industrial and social facilities, territories, and communication routes; ensuring timely gritting of territories.

 Representatives of control and supervisory bodies have been instructed to intensify efforts to suppress violations of labor protection legislation, paying attention to compliance with the requirements of Directive 1 regarding the consumption of alcoholic beverages in work collectives.

Control over the implementation of the order is assigned to the committee for labor, employment and social protection of the regional executive committee.
