Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: a month-long campaign to ensure safe working conditions during the harvesting campaign has been announced in the Vitebsk region from July 24

On additional labor protection measures during the harvesting campaign

From July 24 to August 31, a month-long campaign to ensure safety during the harvesting of grain crops is being held in the Vitebsk region.

The work on harvesting grain crops is carried out within tight deadlines and with the maximum involvement of machinery and workers. An insufficient level of control over compliance with labor protection requirements and work safety, as well as labor discipline, creates prerequisites for occupational injuries.

In practice, cases of failure by managers, specialists, and workers to fulfill their established labor protection duties, as well as their non-compliance with technical and technological regulations when operating vehicles, machines, mechanisms, and equipment, are not uncommon. Workers often ignore the requirements of labor protection instructions, labor, and production discipline.

To achieve the greatest effectiveness of raid activities, visits to agricultural organizations will be organized jointly with state labor inspectors, representatives of state fire supervision bodies, the sanitary and epidemiological service, and other parties interested in ensuring unconditional compliance with legislation in the field of safe labor.

To avoid accidents and prevent extraordinary emergency situations during the harvesting campaign in the Vitebsk region, fields and plots, agricultural facilities, and sites at all agro-industrial complex enterprises involved in the harvesting campaign will be inspected during raid activities.
