Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: Br1.5 million will be allocated to families in the Vitebsk region to prepare children for school
A lump-sum material assistance payment for the academic year to large families for each student studying in general secondary and special education institutions (at the level of general secondary education) will be made in the amount of up to 30% of the subsistence minimum budget effective as of July 31.
Parents can obtain additional information on the required package of documents and payment deadlines at the territorial centers for social services for the population at their place of residence. Also, school class teachers will traditionally remind mothers and fathers about the need to submit the necessary applications.
Large families can count on material assistance. State support will also be provided to low-income families, families with children with disabilities, or parents with disabilities. This category of citizens will be provided with state targeted social assistance. Enterprises and organizations, charitable foundations, and public organizations will also help to pack a school backpack.
In the Vitebsk region, as of July 17, financial assistance in preparing boys and girls for the academic year has been provided to 1.9 thousand families raising 4.2 thousand children. The total amount of payments was about Br453 thousand.
