Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: a campaign to provide financial assistance for children's back-to-school preparations has started in the Vitebsk region

A campaign to provide financial assistance for children's preparation for the new academic year has been launched in the region. Clause 11 of Subprogram 1 "Family and Childhood" of the State Program "People's Health and Demographic Security" for 2021-2025, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of January 19, 2021, No. 28 "On the State Program 'People's Health and Demographic Security' for 2021-2025", provides for a one-time payment of financial assistance for the academic year to families raising three or more children, for each student studying in general secondary and special education institutions (at the level of general secondary education) in the Republic of Belarus, in the amount of 30 percent of the subsistence minimum budget in effect on August 1 of the calendar year, from the local budget.

State support will also be provided to low-income families, families with disabled children or disabled parents by attracting additional funds (funds from enterprises and organizations, sponsorship, state targeted social assistance, financial assistance from state social security funds, funds from charitable foundations and public organizations).
