Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: A month of safe labor in the real sector of the economy is launching in the Vitebsk region
From September 19 to October 17, 2022, a month of safe labor in the real sector of the economy will be launched in the Vitebsk region
The corresponding order was signed by the chairman of the regional executive committee Alexander Subbotin with the aim of ensuring safe working conditions and reducing the level of industrial injuries in hazardous industries of the real sector of the economy, focusing attention on industrial and construction sites of the region.
During the month, heads of organizations must ensure:
- informing employees about the state of working conditions and labor protection at workplaces, the existing risk of health damage, about the personal protective equipment available to employees, and compensation for work in harmful and hazardous working conditions;
- updating information on information stands about the need for employees to comply with labor protection norms and rules, and ensure personal safety;
- control over the fulfillment by officials and employees of duties defined by legislation, as well as taking appropriate measures to implement the requirements of the "Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus of March 11, 2004 No. 1 "On measures to strengthen public safety and discipline", Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of December 15, 2014 No. 5 "On strengthening requirements for managers and employees of organizations";
- conducting an unscheduled check of knowledge on labor protection issues for employees and officials who have violated labor protection norms and rules;
- conducting surveys of employees' working conditions, the compliance of equipment and organization of workplaces, equipment, tools, devices, and vehicles with labor protection requirements, and taking measures to eliminate them;
- holding Labor Protection Days in organizations;
- control over the timely passing of mandatory preliminary and periodic medical examinations, mandatory pre-shift medical examinations, or examinations for alcohol intoxication by employees,
