Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: In the Vitebsk region, institutions of the penal system have been reimbursed for the costs of training 3 citizens

Labor, employment, and social protection bodies may fully or partially compensate employers, penal system institutions, and correctional labor facilities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the costs of vocational training:

for employees subject to redundancy,

for obligated individuals,

for redundant or first-time job seekers,

for individuals attracted to labor

if it is organized by them in full compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

For January-April 2021, costs were compensated to the penal system institution RUP "IK-13 Berezvechye" of the Department of Corrections of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (Glubokoye) and RUP "IK 12 – VAL" of the Department of Corrections of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (Orsha) for the training of 3 citizens who do not have a profession and are attracted to labor during their stay in a correctional institution (in the professions of "woodworking machine operator" and "heat treater").

Using the funds of the state extra-budgetary fund for social protection of the population of the Republic of Belarus, partial compensation is provided to employers for labor costs of citizens released from correctional institutions within one year, who:

have registered with the labor, employment, and social protection body as unemployed within six months from the date of their release;

were unable to find suitable employment for reasons beyond their control within one month from the date of their registration as unemployed or registered as unemployed after undergoing vocational training, retraining, or advanced training at the direction of the labor, employment, and social protection bodies.
