Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: About 5,000 social service workers are employed in the Vitebsk region
The government has paid special attention to increasing the wages of certain categories of public sector employees, including social service workers. There are about 5,000 such workers in the Vitebsk region.
A positive impetus for growth has been given. Social service institution employees received their January 2022 wages with the new bonus. Since 2022, a bonus for working in the social service sector has been introduced for employees of these institutions, ranging from 20 to 90 percent of the base rate, depending on the category of employees and their position (profession).
The increase amounted to 41 to 186 rubles – this is significant for the employees. In addition to the fact that the bonus will grow with the growth of the base rate (since January 2022, the base rate is 207 rubles and will be increased in the second half of the year), the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection plans to further increase the wages of social sector workers by gradually increasing the percentage of this bonus. By 2025, the average monthly wage is planned to be raised to 80 percent of the national average.
