Vitebskoblimushchestvo Committee: shares of 34 enterprises of the Vitebsk region are offered for sale in 2023

The Vitebsk Regional Property Committee has determined the list of joint-stock companies whose shares, owned by the Vitebsk region, are offered for sale in 2023.

Compared to last year, this list has been supplemented with 5 new enterprises: JSC "Vitebskoblavtotrans", JSC "Teploenergetik, Vitebsk", JSC "Vitebsk Radio Component Plant "Monolit", JSC "Vitebskmyasomolprom", JSC "Vitebskoblhropromtrans".

When preparing the list, the committee proceeded from the following principle – to retain a controlling stake of 50% + 1 share in the region's ownership.

Packages of shares, the size of which is less than the specified volume, are offered for sale to potential investors in the manner prescribed by law at auctions.

In addition, it is provided that the size of the share packages offered for sale may be changed taking into account specific proposals from investors that meet the interests of economic societies and the Vitebsk region.

Of the 34 enterprises offered, 25 operate profitably, having finished the past year with a profit, and stably pay dividends.

The highest dividends were paid last year by enterprises such as "Vitebsk Motor Repair Plant", "Evistor Plant", "Zapadno-Dvinya Inter-district Agrotechservice".

In the past year 2022, investors showed interest in JSC "Keramika" and JSC "Savings Bank "Belarusbank", whose shares were valued and put up for auction, which turned out to be unsuccessful.

In the first quarter of 2023, the committee plans to put up for auction share packages of JSC "Eton Plant" and JSC "Automotive Transport and Forwarding Company, Vitebsk".

It should be noted that shares of 12 enterprises in the Vitebsk region can be exchanged for "Imushchestvo" (Property) checks held by citizens. Among them, the most attractive may be the shares of JSC "Vitebsk Motor Repair Plant", JSC "Automotive Transport Enterprise No. 4, Vitebsk", JSC "Tiraspol Mobile Mechanized Column".
