Vitebsk Regional Property Committee: The Count's Stable (a 19th-century architectural monument) was sold at auction for the base value

On June 8, the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee sold the Count's stable building, located in the village of Zalessye, Gluboksky district, at an auction.

The stable building with an area of 333 sq.m. has the status of a historical and cultural value and is located on the territory of the former estate complex of Count Molle in the village of Zalessye. Until recently, the building was used for its intended purpose by the local agricultural enterprise, and later was transferred to the district housing and communal services enterprise.

The stable building was put up for auction for the 5th time, including for the 2nd time at the base price. As a result, it was sold for 30 rubles to a single buyer – an individual, a resident of Minsk. Along with the building, the buyer is provided with a land plot of 2 hectares. The buyer plans to use the acquired object for housing in the future. According to the terms of sale, the buyer must carry out reconstruction within 24 months from the date of signing the purchase and sale agreement.

The stable building remains the only surviving utility building of the estate. Nearby is the foundation of the manor house, destroyed in the 1980s.

Along with its historical and cultural significance, the location of the building adds additional tourist appeal: between the two lakes, Beloye and Muromshchina, in close proximity to the count's park of about 8 hectares, which has preserved rare plant species.

The chronicle date of the foundation of the estate is considered to be 1540. The estate Zalessye-Ostrovna got its name from the features of its location: on a picturesque hill between the two lakes, Beloye and Muravshchina, as if on an island.

In the second half of the 19th century, around the late 1850s, the estate was acquired by a new owner, Count Stanislav Molle, who carried out the reconstruction and rebuilding of the estate. The management of the estate by this influential wealthy noble family lasted a long time – until 1939.

Count Molle's stable is an object included in the list of unused cultural objects in the Vitebsk region. This list of objects can be found on the website of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the website of the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee.

As of today, out of 230 auctions announced this year, only 44 have been successful.

The most in-demand items remain those put up for auction with an initial price equal to one base unit (28 items) and auctions with a price reduction of 80% (13 items).
