Vitebskoblimushchestvo Committee: A record number of successful auctions for the sale of unused state property were held in 2023

For 2023 the committee held a record number of successful auctions for the sale of unused state property

The Vitebsk Regional Property Committee is actively working to bring unused state property into economic circulation, with the number of objects involved increasing every year.

The main method of involvement is sale at auction.

The most expensive object sold by the committee at auctions in 2023 was the unfinished three-story medical building of the Braslav Central District Hospital, located between two lakes on the outskirts of Braslav.

An foreign investor purchased it for 530 thousand rubles. Based on the medical building, the new owner plans to create a high-comfort nursing home.

In total, over the past 2023, 1058 auctions for the sale of unused state property were scheduled. 164 of them were successful, which significantly exceeds the figures of previous years – in 2022 there were 132, and in 2021 – 117.

This allowed not only to involve unused state property in the development of the Vitebsk region, but also to replenish the state budget by more than 3 million rubles (3.168 million rubles).

On January 24, the committee launched the sale of state property for this year.

The first object sold at auction this year was a clinic in the village of Kurino, Vitebsk region, built in 1913.

The complex of objects includes a general practitioner's clinic building, a vegetable store, a stable, a warehouse, a garage, and there is also a well on the territory. The buyer is provided with a land plot of almost 1 hectare.

All clinic objects were sold to a single buyer for three basic units (120 Belarusian rubles).

The new owner is a resident of Vitebsk. In the future, he plans to renovate the facility into a residential building.

Also, at the auction on January 24, two cow sheds in the village of Zhuchki, Chashniksky district, were sold for a basic unit.

The buyer is a local peasant farm that plans to use the facilities for raising young bulls.

In total, in 2024, it is planned to involve 408 unused state property objects in economic circulation in the Vitebsk region, of which 361 objects are planned to be sold by the committee at auction.

There are also new objects - 143 objects will be put up for auction for the first time this year.

Among the unused objects, social facilities account for the largest share - these are former kindergartens and schools.

Recently, many unused retail facilities have been offered - former consumer cooperative facilities. For example, in February, a shop building located in the Vitebsk region, in the village of Mikhalkovo, can be purchased at auction for the base value.

Based on the shop, it is possible in the future to place not only a retail facility or an administrative building, but also to reconstruct it into a single-family residential house. The new owner is allocated a land plot of 10 ares.

Many unused shops are also located in the Gorodok, Orsha, Shumilino, and Glubokoe districts, which can also be purchased at auction for the base value.
