Communications building on the bank of the Vitba River in Vitebsk and a school in Chashniki were sold at auction on August 21, with over 70 more properties put up for auction

The Vitebsk Regional Property Committee is actively working to bring unused state property into economic circulation – thus, 544 auctions were announced in the first 7 months of this year, which significantly exceeds their number for the same period last year – when there were 398.

80 auctions this year were successful, which allowed the unused properties to be utilized in the region's economy and, at the same time, replenished the state budget by 527 thousand rubles.

The unused building of the support and reinforcement station, located in Vitebsk at 2nd Sadovaya St., 15A – near the botanical garden on the bank of the Vitba River – attracted the greatest interest from buyers among the properties offered in August. There were 4 buyers competing for it.

Previously, until December 2022, the station building was used by the Vitebsk Zelensrtroy enterprise.

This property was put up for auction by the committee for the first time, without a reduction in the sale price.

During the bidding, at the 8th step of the auction, the property was sold for 72 thousand rubles. The new owner is a local public catering enterprise.

In accordance with the designated land use, it is possible to locate residential buildings, garages with parking, or everyday service facilities here.

Also on August 21, the former school building in Chashniki found a new owner. For three base amounts (111 rubles), the property was acquired by a private medical company from the Moscow region. The new owner plans to open a rehabilitation center for people with cardiovascular diseases at the school.

For the near future, the end of August – September, the committee has announced 72 auctions for the sale of unused state property. The largest number are social facilities.

Also in September, packages of shares of two enterprises will be offered for sale at auction – OJSC "Eton Plant" with

with a 20% price reduction and OJSC "Automobile Transport and Forwarding Company".

The largest real estate object offered in September is the production site of the former winery on Pokrovskaya Street in Vitebsk.

The complex of buildings is located in the historical part of the city, in the area where Chagall once lived.

After the liquidation of the plant in 2017, the state retained ownership of the unused complex of facilities, which includes an administrative building that has the status of a historical and cultural value of the 3rd category.

There are also two production buildings, an oatmeal cookie workshop, a wine storage facility, a spirit storage facility, a warehouse, a checkpoint, and utility networks. The total area of capital buildings is over 5000 sq.m.

The new owner will be provided with a land plot of almost 2 hectares. In accordance with the purpose of the land plot, it is possible to place a complex of multi-apartment and cottage development, or public facilities here.

Since October 2021, the committee has unsuccessfully put the object up for auction 7 times.

In September, the winery is planned to be put up for auction with a 30% price reduction.
