He who owns information owns the world

At the initiative of the Expert Legal Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus, in cooperation with the National Center for Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus, a two-day seminar on working with the information retrieval system "ETALON" version 6.7 was organized and held in Minsk.

Senior assistants to prosecutors of regions and the city of Minsk for legal support, information and public relations, as well as prosecutors from departments and divisions of the Prosecutor General's Office took part in the seminar.

In her opening remarks, the head of the Expert Legal Department, N.Yu. Matveeva, emphasized the importance of proper systematization of legislation in the prosecutor's offices, including through the use of the "ETALON" IPS.

During the presentation of the new version of the information retrieval system, employees of the NCLI familiarized the attendees with the system's features and the algorithm of necessary actions when using it in law enforcement activities. In turn, prosecutors proposed to consider the issue of developing additional functions for the "ETALON" IPS in the near future.

Similar training seminars will be organized and conducted by the regional prosecutor's offices and the city of Minsk in cooperation with the Regional Centers for Legal Information at the local level.
