Easy money led to jail

Our hero, a man with no permanent residence or job, spending his leisure time in a constant search for easy money.

One day, having arrived in Vitebsk to meet his sister's acquaintance regarding employment in the Russian Federation, he committed the theft of personal belongings of a barely known man.

Here's how it happened: after the unsuccessful meeting, Alexander (our hero), to pass the time, decided to take a walk to the train station. On the way, he met a man named Anatoly and told him that he had nowhere to sleep. Anatoly kindly agreed to shelter him for a couple of nights at his home, but added that he had to leave for now on business and expected him in the evening. While idly strolling around the city, he met two more young men, with whom he subsequently drank alcoholic beverages at the Vitebsk railway station. What prompted him to steal the travel bag of one of his newly acquired acquaintances, he could not explain in court, and in general, due to guilt, he was not very talkative.

Thus, having taken possession of someone else's property, namely personal belongings and toiletries, Alexander, by the verdict of the court of the Zheleznodorozhny District of Vitebsk, was found guilty of secret theft of property (larceny) and, based on Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, was sentenced to arrest for a term of 3 (three) months. In accordance with Article 107 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the court applied compulsory treatment for chronic alcoholism to the accused.
