Minimize miscalculations in work

The Department for Supervision of Inquiry and Operational-Investigative Activities pays special attention to improving the qualifications of its employees and colleagues from related structures in such an important and relevant area as inquiry and operational-investigative activities.

In the current year, department employees actively participated in a number of educational and methodological seminars and training sessions.

For example, in March and June, an educational event was held with employees of the departments for Narcotics Control and Human Trafficking Prevention of the Internal Affairs Bodies of the Vitebsk region on issues of specific areas of operational and service activities of employees in drug control and combating human trafficking.

In May, a training session was held with heads of criminal investigation departments of district internal affairs bodies, internal affairs bodies for transport, and employees responsible for maintaining the database of operational investigative information in criminal investigation departments.

In addition to direct participation in seminars, the regional prosecutor's office, by its own initiative, also organizes and conducts, at a sufficiently high level, educational and methodological seminars to discuss current issues and problems of law enforcement practice in the sphere of supervising inquiry and operational-investigative activities in the region.

In April, an educational and methodological seminar was held via video conferencing at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office with prosecutors supervising operational-investigative activities.

It was noted that the systematic work on improving the qualifications of the department's employees and related services allows minimizing gross violations, errors, and miscalculations in the activities of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office and the law enforcement agencies under its supervision in the sphere of operational-investigative activities in the future.
