A seminar on issues of state prosecution was held at the Faculty of Law of Polotsk State University

On the basis of the Faculty of Law of Polotsk State University, an educational and methodological seminar on issues of maintaining state prosecution was held. The seminar was attended by prosecutors from the Polotsk region with up to 3 years of experience and those who resumed work after maternity leave, lecturers of the Faculty of Law and 3rd-year students.

The seminar studied the tasks and powers of the state prosecutor; issues of sentencing, including for the totality of crimes and the totality of sentences; expungement of criminal records, problematic issues in establishing, extending, and terminating preventive supervision. Changes to the Criminal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure, introduced by the Law of the Republic of Belarus of January 9, 2019, and methods for preventing emotional stress of prosecutors were discussed.

During the practical sessions, speeches by state prosecutors were heard, and a legal quiz was held.

The winners were the senior assistant prosecutor of the Lepel district Banevskaya E.V. and the 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Law of PSU Glebko A.A., who were awarded diplomas.
