At a seminar in the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, prosecutors discussed issues of civil proceedings

A training and methodological seminar for prosecutors of the regions was held via video conferencing at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Seminar topic: Organization of supervision over the compliance of court decisions in civil cases with the law.

The training event was attended by heads of specialized structural units of the regional prosecutor's office, employees of city and district prosecutor's offices, as well as judges of the Vitebsk Regional Court.

"The Regional Prosecutor's Office pays great attention to improving the qualifications of its employees. Seminar classes are organized on a regular basis in all areas of prosecutorial activity, which undoubtedly yields a positive result. Training seminars allow us to discuss existing problems in the exercise of prosecutorial supervision on the ground, eliminate legal gaps, and share practical experience with colleagues. The goal of the event is to prevent mistakes, minimize shortcomings in work, and its continuous improvement in the future," said Georgy Korenko, Deputy Prosecutor of the Vitebsk Region, opening the seminar.

During the seminar, judicial practice in civil cases on the recovery of wages, and on complaints against the actions (inaction) of state bodies and officials that infringe upon the rights of citizens were discussed.

Features of considering cases on employees' claims challenging refusal to hire, and reinstatement were discussed. The procedure for calculating average earnings upon reinstatement.

Judicial and prosecutorial practice in cases of releasing property from arrest was studied in a dialogue format.

Judicial practice in cases of recovery of funds spent on training specialists was discussed in detail.

Issues of initiating, suspending, and terminating enforcement proceedings were considered separately. Attention was paid to problematic issues of the priority of satisfying creditors' claims, the procedure for revaluing the debtor's property, and the recovery of enforcement fees.
