At a seminar in the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a review of errors in the processing of applications and reports of crimes by internal affairs bodies was conducted

A training and methodological seminar was held at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office with the participation of employees of city and district prosecutor's offices, heads of territorial internal affairs bodies (IABS), their deputies, heads of criminal investigation departments and public security police departments, as well as staff inspectors exercising control over the RUD of territorial IABS, and representatives of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Topic: the state of departmental control and prosecutorial supervision over the resolution of applications and reports of crimes in the IABS.

The seminar participants discussed the violations of registration and accounting discipline identified in 2018-2019 in the territorial departments of the IABS, and the reasons that generated them.

In a live dialogue, issues arising from the qualification of fraudulent actions in the field of high technologies were considered, as well as issues related to the distinction between theft (larceny) from appropriation of found property belonging to others, hooliganism associated with the destruction or damage of property, and intentional destruction or damage of property.

The specifics of conducting inspections in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code for road traffic accidents and fires were discussed separately.

After discussing the main issues, the seminar participants exchanged views and examples from law enforcement practice.
