Natalia Kochanova familiarized herself with the activities of OJSC "Lepelagroservice"
On the second day of her working trip to the Vitebsk region, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova familiarized herself with the activities of LepelAgroService OJSC.
The enterprise specializes in the production of dairy products, cattle breeding, grain, and the sale of fertilizers. It provides transport services, as well as technical maintenance and repair of vehicles.
Natalya Kochanova communicated with machine operators, inquiring about working conditions and wages. During the inspection of the territory, the Speaker drew attention to the need to tidy up both the outdoor and indoor areas.
The next stop was the Lyadno dairy farm. Here, the key issue for the farm was raised: the need to build a new dairy complex. The current premises have been in operation since 1969 and are morally and technically obsolete. At the same time, Natalya Kochanova positively assessed the ongoing construction of a calf nursery. It is the young stock that is receiving the closest attention today, focusing on the quality of their keeping, especially during the cold winter period, and their full nutrition.
The Speaker's working trip is being carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Belarus following the meeting on measures to ensure the sustainable development of the Vitebsk region and the situation with cattle mortality in the Republic of Belarus.
The second point of the itinerary was the agricultural enterprise "Lepelskoe" and its "Tselina" dairy complex. Natalya Kochanova communicated with specialists and became acquainted with the technological process: from the transfer of calves from the nursery for further growth to the keeping of the main herd.
While inspecting the farm, the Speaker noted both positive aspects, such as modern calf houses, and problematic ones. The shortcomings of the metal buildings from 2013, which get very cold in winter, were discussed. There is a need to build new, more spacious calf houses with improved ventilation and the possibility of access for special cleaning equipment.
Natalya Kochanova noted: "Without order, there will be no production. There must be order in everything – from conditions for people, equipment, to the most modern standards in animal husbandry."
Work to establish this order has already begun, and the leadership of the Lepel district has received comprehensive guidelines for further work.
