Don't play with fire

In 2018, 3 fires were registered at the facilities of the Belarusian Railway of the Vitebsk transport region.

Thus, on 22.06.2018, a fire broke out in a residential building in the village of Dyatlovo, Orsha district. The fire was localized by the Orsha Regional Department of Emergency Situations within 2 hours. There were no casualties as a result of the fire.

The object of the fire was a single-family brick house built in 1982, with 2 registered residents. A lease agreement for a commercial use residential premises of the state housing fund was concluded with the tenant.

According to the fire report, the roof, walls of the house, and the tenant's property were damaged and destroyed by fire.

The cause of the fire was the introduction of an ignition source by an unidentified person.

A joint inspection of the mentioned residential building was carried out, during which it was established that the residential premises, including the heating system, are in satisfactory condition. The power supply and lighting system is de-energized due to non-payment for its use.

On 30.08.2018, a fire broke out in a residential building located in the Dokshitsy district, village of Krulefshchyna. The cause of the fire was careless handling of fire while smoking by a person in a state of alcoholic intoxication. Damage was caused only to the user of the residential premises (a blanket was destroyed). A criminal case was not initiated.

On 08.12.2018, a fire occurred in a house located in the Orsha district, Zabolotsky rural council, village of Staroye Khorobrovo. No damage was caused to the balance holder. On 17.12.2018, the Orsha District Department of Internal Affairs issued a decision to refuse to initiate criminal proceedings regarding the fire. The presumed cause of the fire is careless handling of fire.

There were cases of vehicle fires.

Thus, on 14.11.2018, a ZIL-131 vehicle caught fire on the 112th km of the Chashniki-Zaslonovo highway.

On 07.12.2018, the Chashniki District Department of Emergency Situations issued a decision to refuse to initiate criminal proceedings regarding this fact. The cause of the fire was a violation of the rules for operating heat-generating devices and equipment.

Belarus for violation of fire safety rules in railway transport 2 people were prosecuted.
