Not empty words, but real help

In the current difficult economic situation, private businesses often forget about social responsibility. However, it is gratifying that there are representatives of private businesses who care about children in need of special attention.

In May, thanks to voluntary donations from a private construction organization, the Children's Adolescent Psychiatric Department of the Regional Clinical Center for Psychiatry and Narcology acquired expensive computer equipment to assist children with psychophysical disabilities. There are several thousand such children in the region (the total child population is 207 thousand children).

With the help of an interactive computer board, it will be easier for doctors to provide assistance to these children, and it will be highly effective and consistent with modern treatment methods.

A ceremonial meeting was held at the Children's Adolescent Psychiatric Department regarding this matter, with the participation of the heads of the Regional Clinical Center, representatives of the press, the construction organization, and the Prosecutor's Office of the Vitebsk Region. The Regional Prosecutor's Office provided intermediary assistance in the implementation of this project.

In the future, the Prosecutor's Office, together with the Commission for Juvenile Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, will also act in this direction to organize work on providing charitable assistance to state organizations and institutions dealing with children's issues.
