44.7 thousand tons of winter barley harvested by Vitebsk region agrarians
According to the regional agricultural production department, as of today, winter barley has been harvested from 19.2 thousand hectares (68% of the plan), with 44.7 thousand tons threshed at an average yield of 23.3 centners per hectare (the best performance is in the Lepel district – 37.5 centners per hectare). Winter rapeseed has been harvested from 11.8 thousand hectares (34.3%), yielding 14.1 thousand tons of oilseeds, with a yield of 11.9 centners per hectare (Dokshitsky and Orsha districts are leading with 21 centners per hectare and 20.9 centners per hectare, respectively).
Fodder procurement for the second cutting continues. Perennial grasses have been mown on 57.2 thousand hectares (36.3%), with 11.21 centners of feed units per conventional head of cattle prepared (on the same date last year, it was 7 centners of feed units).
Work is underway in the flax fields. Flax has been pulled from 1.4 thousand hectares (12.5%).
