President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko presented general's epaulets to the top brass. The solemn ceremony took place on June 27 at the Palace of Independence.

The Head of State presented Major General epaulets to the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces Andrei Lukyanovich, the First Deputy Chief of Logistics of the Armed Forces, Chief of Logistics Staff Alexander Mosolov, and the Chairman of the State Border Committee Konstantin Molostov, Police Major General - Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Alexander Shastailo, Justice Major General - Head of the Investigative Committee Department for Vitebsk Region Alexander Gutska, and the 3rd Class State Counselor of Justice rank - Prosecutor of Grodno Region Alexander Zhukov.

"I sincerely thank you for honorably fulfilling your duty, selflessly serving the Motherland, and congratulate you on being awarded a new military rank. Your priority task, as well as that of all uniformed personnel, is to take the necessary measures to prevent the escalation of the situation. It is already tense to the limit, throw a match and everything will flare up, even explode. This must be conveyed to all personnel, your subordinates on the ground. And do not constantly think about some high matters. Leave that to politicians. You have clear and understandable tasks, we are all professionals, each in his own field. This is what we should be doing, you first and foremost," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.

"I am confident that you will continue to perform your duties with the same honesty and diligence. What you have studied and prepared for all your life is to defend our country and our people. You will secure our Motherland from any risks and any threats - I am simply convinced of this," the President stated.
