Alexander Subbotin: scientific achievements will be the main theme of the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia
The XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, which will be held in Vitebsk, is planned to be held under the motto "Science is the Future of the Union State," announced the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin.
– In 2024, the Vitebsk region will host the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. We still have a year to prepare, but we can already say today that we plan to hold it under the motto "Science is the Future of the Union State," Alexander Subbotin noted. - In other words, we want to focus on the future development of the two states. Most of the events within the framework of the forum will be dedicated to the development of science and will be aimed at young people, who will build our future.
This is the first focus. The second key theme of the forum is our common history, without knowledge of which future development is impossible. Moreover, the ancient city of Polotsk, one of the centers of Slavic culture development, is located in the Vitebsk region. Therefore, we plan to hold the forum events in Vitebsk and Polotsk, where we want to show guests ancient temples and other historical sites.
So, at this stage, the concept of the forum looks like this: through history and traditions to the future with science and high technologies.
