Alexander Subbotin: "More than 80 million rubles will be allocated for the reconstruction of the Vitebsk Concert Hall"
The headquarters, which includes the head of the region, the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov, the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Gennady Sabynich, and other senior officials of the regional and city executive committees, once again inspected the progress of the work. Such headquarters are held weekly, and if necessary, more often.
The Vitebsk Concert Hall is one of the major facilities. Every day, 270 people from the general contractor, Construction Trust No. 9, and four subcontractors work here. The General Director of Construction Trust No. 9, Andrey Golubev, did not fail to note that it is extremely difficult to carry out reconstruction in such facilities.
It is necessary to promptly make changes and adjustments to the project and carry out construction simultaneously. Financing is regular, there are enough resources, and work is carried out in two shifts with an extended schedule. There were issues with the supply of some building materials, such as granite and marble tiles, but these have now been resolved. Building materials are arriving on time. The General Director assured that by April 15, the circular hall, the circular hall foyer, the cloakroom, and the administrative and utility building on the third floor will be ready at the facility.
After that, the work will shift to the central foyer, cafe, and administrative premises on the first and second floors. These works are scheduled for completion by May 31.
– The facility must be commissioned by June 27; there are no other options, – Alexander Subbotin summarized. – The task is set as follows: to do everything with high quality and within the deadlines. We know how to work well when everything needs to be done quickly and efficiently. Monitoring at the facilities is necessary because additional difficulties are identified during the work, which require expanding the scope of planned activities. This is what happened at the amphitheater, where we plan to update the lighting, and at the underpass to the "blue house," we will not limit ourselves to just re-laying the insulation, as everything started to crumble after the top layer was removed. We want to put the premises near the underpass into operation. Everything must be done beautifully and reliably so that we don't have to return to the facility in a couple of years.
The head of the region did not fail to emphasize that today's "construction hustle" indicates that the city is developing and becoming more beautiful. Here, Alexander Subbotin's views on the ongoing processes completely coincide with those of Gennady Sabinich. Even after the forum, this dynamic, according to the governor, should not be lost. Major construction is planned in the regional center to make it more beautiful and attractive for both residents and tourists.
