Alexander Subbotin familiarized himself with the activities of the Vitebsk branch of Belarusian Railways
A lively dialogue took place on topical issues: people were interested in preserving historical memory, the role of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the use of atomic energy, and the readiness of the healthcare system to withstand the 5th wave of the pandemic. The head of regional authorities gave exhaustive answers to each of them. Then, there was an introduction to the production structure of the locomotive depot.
– I am impressed by the scale of production and the plans for its development, – noted Alexander Subbotin. – Any communication with people, and this meeting is part of my acquaintance with the workforces of enterprises and organizations of the region, is beneficial for all of us. We listened to each other, debated in some places, and the questions asked were quite interesting and unusual: for example, about expanding the concept of preserving historical memory. Indeed, we talk about military exploits, but sometimes we forget about labor exploits, which are no less heroic and no less significant for us. It is important for me to visit many workforces to determine where, perhaps, help is needed, what plans and prospects exist, what people are thinking about, and on whom I, as a leader, can rely on for the further development of the Vitebsk region's potential.
