Alexander Subbotin checked the readiness of polling stations for voting

Александр Субботин проверил готовность избирательных участков для голосования
Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin familiarized himself with the readiness of polling stations for voting, using polling stations No. 39 and 40, located at Secondary School No. 12 named after L. Filipenko in the Pervomaisky District of Vitebsk, as an example.

The Chairperson of the precinct election commission of polling station No. 40, Elena Gireeva, demonstrated the results of the preparation: the polling station has been inspected by state fire supervision authorities, is under round-the-clock police protection, and is equipped with panic buttons. All necessary attributes were also demonstrated: transparent ballot boxes, equipped booths, and information about the presidential candidates. On the reverse side of the received ballots, the chairperson and commission members affix their signatures – on January 21, those wishing to vote early can come to the polling station; without this, the filled ballot will not be valid.

Magnifying glasses are provided for visually impaired voters, and stencils for independent voting have been made for the blind. Volunteer duty is planned to assist voters. Gifts for first-time young voters have already been prepared – the book "Symbols of Sovereign Belarus." In addition to interesting and informative articles, the reader will find QR codes in the book, by scanning which they can take a virtual journey to the Belovezhskaya Pushcha, see how flax grows in the fields, how one of our national treasures – the Slutsk sash – is made, and visit the Church of All Saints in Minsk.

– The readiness of the polling stations is high. Early voting begins tomorrow. Therefore, every polling station in the region is prepared and equipped with everything necessary according to the requirements: ballot boxes are almost everywhere transparent or semi-transparent, new ones, booths are installed, all handouts are ready, – noted the head of the region. – Everything that is needed is in its place, commission members are ready to answer any emerging questions, so I think everything should proceed without disruptions and in accordance with the law.
