Alexander Subbotin presented diplomas to graduates of the Orsha Agricultural College
Today, over 100 students of the Orsha State Agrarian College received diplomas of vocational education. The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, took part in the solemn ceremony.
– It is a good tradition to present a document of vocational education to young people. They look to the future with hope and optimism, – noted the head of the region. – The professions they have acquired within the walls of this college are currently important and in demand. But, in addition to everything, motivation is also needed. We can increase enrollment figures in educational institutions, organize targeted training, but if the students themselves lack the desire to come here, there will be no result. Motivation should also be present among farm and enterprise managers. That is, they must search for and train the specialists they need. And there must definitely be prospects for further growth, salary increases, acquiring new competencies, self-realization, and the opportunity to continue learning, perhaps even to move to higher positions. Only this comprehensive approach will solve the personnel problem, and not only in rural areas.
In a conversation with journalists, Alexander Subbotin said that he well remembers his graduation.
– In addition, today marks 25 years since my graduation from the Vitebsk Order of the Badge of Honour State Academy of Veterinary Medicine. More than 100 people will gather within the walls of my alma mater to fondly recall their years of study.
After the solemn diploma awarding ceremony, college students, teachers, and guests released balloons with wishes into the sky.
The visit also included a tour of the agricultural technology competence center and a demonstration area for machinery. Here, students showcased master classes on the technical maintenance of agricultural machinery.
The director of the educational institution, Nikolay Baryshev, informed that this year, more than 500 students are studying in 10 specialties at the Orsha Agrarian College. The material base of the educational institution is constantly being updated and improved. After major repairs, the renovated gym and a canteen equipped with the latest technological equipment have been put into operation.
