Anatoly Linevich met with the youth aktiv of the Vitebsk State College of Electronics

A lively discussion unfolded at the dialogue platform for discussing amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus at the Vitebsk State College of Electronics. The conversation was attended by the head of the administration of the Pervomaysky district, Yevgeny Semyonchyev, students, and teachers.

The moderator of the meeting, Oleg Tereshkov, the first secretary of the Pervomaysky district committee of the BRSM, outlined the essence of the Basic Law and the referendum and invited young people to join the conversation and ask questions.

Anatoly Linevich focused on such an important block of the draft Constitution as the social orientation of state policy, in particular, on the guarantees of free healthcare.

– It is very important that the state provides free medical care, – emphasized the President’s aide, – that citizens are guaranteed the right to health protection and free treatment. I consider the addition that citizens should take care of preserving their own health to be significant.

Margarita Kozak, Senior Lecturer at the Department of History and Theory of Law of Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov, explained to the students how the legal status of state bodies has changed, focused on the powers of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly as the supreme body of people's power, spoke about the introduction of the Unified Voting Day, changes in the requirements for candidates for the post of President, and explained what social responsibility is.

To Anatoly Linevich's question "Who loves their country?" the entire hall raised their hands. The President's Aide suggested that the young men and women answer the difficult question "What is patriotism and its highest degree?". The young people did not keep them waiting and expressed their position, the essence of which is to study and work for the benefit of their Motherland and, if necessary, to sacrifice themselves for its sake.

– Patriotism is about responsibly performing your official duties with full dedication, not only for your own benefit but also for the prosperity of your country, – confirmed Anatoly Linevich.

The roots of patriotism come from childhood, when you understand where you live well, where you are understood, and you realize that this is the land of your ancestors, noted the college director Valery Korolyov.

The questions asked by the college students concerned changes aimed at supporting youth.

– Today, the main task of the authorities is to create conditions for the self-expression of youth, – said Anatoly Linevich. – At such meetings, I see great interest from young people, they actively make their proposals, ask questions, and it is evident that they are focused on results.

Our state offers many opportunities for young people to realize themselves, the speaker emphasized.
