The Begomlsky plant "Vetraź" will launch a production that has no analogues in Belarus
The Program of Socio-Economic Development of Belarus for 2021-2025 places special emphasis on strengthening the economic positions of regions, where welfare, comfortable living, and human potential development are closely linked to industry. The opening of new production facilities, modernization, and expansion of existing ones are the path to the development of small towns and settlements. The correctness of the chosen route is proven today by specific examples. In the town of Begoml, Dokshitsy District, the number of residents has remained stable over the past 5 years, and has even grown. The extensively renovated "Vetraź" plant plays a significant role in this.
— At one time, a very correct decision was made at the state level, — notes Director Anatoly Sivko. — They didn't resort to half-measures and reconstruct old buildings — they built a new plant. As a result, they were able to find their niche and completely change their specialization.

In 2019, "Vetraź" purchased furnaces for the production of hardware products, a year later built a new electrical installation workshop worth two and a half million rubles, then acquired two injection molding machines for casting products from plastic and polyurethane. And at the end of 2022, a high-tech processing center was launched here, with the help of which it is possible to produce almost any complex-shaped parts. The cost of the new equipment is one million rubles.

Kirill Zadorozhny already had the necessary qualifications after graduating from college, Denis Sharkevich underwent special training. The guys are happy: working on new equipment, which can be called a super milling machine, is very interesting. Another plus is that in the near future it is planned to be used in the production of export products. The chief engineer of the enterprise, Nikolai Selyuk, emphasizes:
— My heart rejoices when I see how quickly the enterprise is growing, — he expresses his opinion. — The products are in demand, the range is constantly expanding. It is a joy to be part of this team.
She takes a break from the conveyor for a moment and joins the conversation, the charming red-haired girl — electrical fitter Yulia Leshchinskaya:
— We carefully monitor the quality. We understand that the reliable and safe operation of elevators, and therefore human lives, depends on our components. Without a sense of responsibility, there is nothing to do here…
Interestingly, Yulia herself retrained as a fitter from a merchandiser. She married and moved to Begoml. And immediately found herself a good job.

— We have many partners, — Anatoly Sivko says. — We fulfill orders for various enterprises, supply parts and assemblies for elevator repairs to service organizations. We still cooperate with European colleagues, albeit in smaller volumes. As for the tightening of sanctions policy, yes, we felt it — about 50 percent of materials were received from Italy. But we quickly reoriented and found new partners — we concluded an agreement with Cheboksary. And we continue to maintain ties with the same Italian partners.
The deeper the production is improved, the more pleasing the economic indicators are. According to the results of last year, the growth rate of output volumes was over 150 percent. And exports increased threefold. Due to increased supplies to the Russian Federation. Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh — the geography of regions where Beloml components for elevators are in demand is wide. Revenue from sales per employee is 334 thousand rubles, which is 60 percent more than in 2021.

And "Vetrazy" has new ideas in its plans, which will certainly be implemented for the benefit of the small town and the whole country.

New Projects
