More than 100 representatives of the media community of Belarus and Russia will gather at the forum in Vitebsk

Более 100 представителей медийного сообщества Беларуси и России соберет форум в Витебске

The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, in conjunction with the Smolensk Regional Organization "Russian Union of Youth," within the framework of developing cooperation between the border regions of Belarus and Russia, as well as expanding interaction in the field of mass communications and youth policy, will hold the Belarusian-Russian forum "New Media in the Digital Age" on December 22, 2021, in Vitebsk.

The goal is to implement modern methods for creating and promoting media content in practice.

The media forum will be held at the VSU named after P.M. Masherov and will bring together more than 100 participants. The event will be attended by the leadership of the Vitebsk region, departments of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of city and district executive committees, editorial offices of media outlets of the Vitebsk and Smolensk regions, as well as teachers and students of the Faculty of Humanities and Language Communications of VSU named after P.M. Masherov.

Together with leading Belarusian and Russian media experts, they will discuss current trends in the development of web journalism, tools for competent content promotion on the Internet, methods for effectively attracting audiences on social media, and digital marketing for media.

For the participants of the media forum, an exhibition of photographic equipment, thematic photo zones, and a location for rapid assembly of "spils-cards" within the framework of the republican project "I Know Belarus" will be organized. Also, the participants of the media forum will join the New Year's charity event "Our Children": the gifts brought will be addressed to orphans and children left without parental care living in the Vitebsk region.
