A delegation from the Pskov region visited healthcare facilities in the Orsha district
The first stop on the itinerary was the Vitebsk Regional Hospital for Veterans of the Great Patriotic War "Yurtsevo". Here, guests from Russia familiarized themselves with the living conditions of patients, the level of medical care, the material base, and the methods used for patient recovery after illnesses and injuries. Delegation members visited the physical therapy, therapy, and rehabilitation departments, as well as the geriatric center. Vera Emelyanova highly praised the level of organization of rehabilitation care, the quality of services provided at the hospital, and its advanced equipment. She noted that the rehabilitation center of the "Yurtsevo" hospital is an example of a leading medical institution that employs current technologies and treatment methods.
– We arrived with a program to study the experience of the Vitebsk region's healthcare system. In particular, in Orsha, we were interested in such a new facility as this polyclinic: how it was built, how everything is organized here, and how patients are received, – noted Vera Emelyanova. – Since it is important for both Russia and Belarus to find new ways to provide the population with high-quality, accessible primary healthcare. We will study the experience of our Belarusian colleagues and use it in our practice. We are also ready to share our new technologies. There is an intention to implement joint projects. Since the experience of conducting joint operations and practical training is already in use, it needs to be expanded, continued with new knowledge and energy.
