Youth Day was held at the "Slavianski Bazaar"
– Today, the youth has awakened the cultural and festival capital, Vitebsk, which offers many new opportunities, communication, smiles, and positivity, – emphasized Anatoly Linevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee. – If all endeavors come from the heart, our country will flourish. Looking at active, creative, and purposeful young people, one can confidently say that we have a bright future. We are all united by one feeling – patriotism.
The youth festival was opened by the winners and prize-winners of the republican festival of artistic creativity of students and youth "ART-vacations," the republican competition-review of children's creativity "Hello, World!" of projects by the Ministry of Education and the National Center for Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth, and creative teams from the Vitebsk Regional Palace of Children and Youth, Vitebsk State Technical College, Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov, Vitebsk State Technological University, and the Vitebsk City Center for Additional Education of Children and Youth.
– Vitebsk is becoming not only a center of creativity, but also the capital of active and talented youth. And our lights of youth talents can only be ignited when there is peace and creation in the country. On the eve of Youth Day, we started with a labor initiative: improving park areas, and today we will open a branded BRSM bus stop pavilion. Thus, through labor and creative participation, further preservation and multiplication of our country's wealth, respect for historical roots, and the transfer of experience to the younger generation are possible, – noted the First Secretary of the BRSM Central Committee, Alexander Lukyanov.
Elena Afanasyeva, Chairperson of the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly for Labor, Social Policy and Healthcare, Senator of the Russian Federation, and member of the Committee of the Russian Federation for International Affairs, emphasized the need to raise a worthy successor who will manage the Union State in the future. To this end, everything is being done to ensure that the younger generation has the opportunity to study, work, receive decent wages, social guarantees, etc.
Next, about 700 aspiring artists, as part of creative groups and individual performers, will "ignite" the youth creativity festival-competition "Fire of Youth Talents" at the PSU named after P. Masherov, and at the Football Arena, about 600 young people – media specialists from all regions of the country – will take part in the republican media forum PROdigital. The forum will open with a discussion platform "Media Technologies in Modern Realities of Implementing State Youth Policy".
By the way, a series of educational events await the forum participants – master classes on the basics of information confrontation, media support and promotion of projects; practical classes on video editing and photo processing, design and editing of social media communities, promotion and posting, creation of high-quality and interesting media content, etc.
An official announcement about the start of accepting applications for the second season of the republican competition for young journalists "Press-code" will be made at the media forum.
The culmination of Youth Day at the XXXII Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk International Arts Festival will be the closing gala concert. Winners of the "Fire of Youth Talents" festival-competition, popular artists – Egor Kann, Daniil Myshkovets, Ivan Zdonyuk, Kirill Gromov, Veronika Tsubikova, Zinaida Kupriyanovich (Zina Bless), Alyona Tovstik (Alena Tovstik), Danaya Sharshavitskaya (DANAYA), Ilya Prokopovich (Martwin), as well as the headliner of the youth celebration – popular Belarusian millionaire blogger Dima Sivchik (Dim Dimych) will perform on the stage near the "Vitebsk" concert hall.
