Dmitry Khoma has headed the Vitebsk Regional Commission for the Election of the President of Belarus
– The commission plays a key role in organizing and coordinating the observance of electoral legislation in the region, – noted Dmitry Khoma. – We are obliged to ensure the implementation of the Electoral Code and guarantee the principles of fair and equal voting for all participants in the process. Our goal is to create conditions under which every citizen of the Vitebsk region can freely express their opinion and vote for their candidate.
During the meeting, traditional issues stipulated by the Electoral Code were also considered, including the election of a deputy chairman and a secretary of the commission. The work schedule, duty roster, and work plan were approved, and other organizational matters were discussed. The chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin, wished the commission members successful work and high-quality conduct of the election campaign in accordance with the law.
Deputy Chairman of the regional executive committee, Vyacheslav Durnov, opening the meeting, announced that the regional commission was formed on November 4 in the maximum possible composition – 13 people – at a joint meeting of the regional executive committee and the presidium of the regional council of deputies. The commission includes three representatives of political parties, eight representatives of public associations, including two trade union activists, as well as one representative from labor collectives and from citizens who have submitted applications.
He emphasized that the commission includes highly qualified specialists with experience in previous electoral campaigns.
– I am confident that we will be able to conduct the elections at the highest organizational level. We have all the necessary resources, experience, and knowledge for the successful implementation of this task, – noted Vyacheslav Durnov.

Commission's working hours: on weekdays – from 10:00 to 19:00 (break – from 14:00 to 15:00), on Saturdays – from 10:00 to 14:00, and on the eve of election day – from 10:00 to 19:00 (break – from 14:00 to 15:00).
