The economic forum "Innovations. Investments. Prospects" will be held for the first time at the FEZ "Vitebsk" site
The forum is a traditional platform for presenting the potential of enterprises and districts of the Vitebsk region. Therefore, it is no coincidence that this year, for the first time, the territory of the FEZ "Vitebsk" has been chosen as the venue for the region's main economic event. This is one of the main growth points of the region, whose preferential regime creates favorable conditions for attracting advanced technologies and industries, noted Irina Makarenko. The central theme of the forum will be import substitution in the implementation of innovative projects. This year, the organizers have planned the business program in such a way as to provide maximum assistance to economic entities in adapting to work under sanctions restrictions by providing expertise on emerging opportunities, searching for new cooperation models and technological solutions.
Taking into account the experience of 2021, the events will be held in a combined offline and online format, with a preference given to organizing face-to-face communication between participants as the most effective form of interaction, explained Irina Makarenko. In addition, holding the forum during the days of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" International Arts Festival will be an additional factor contributing to the increased effectiveness of the business event, she added.
Traditionally, the forum will be opened by a plenary session, which will be attended by heads of the Vitebsk region, partner regions, and leading enterprises in various sectors. Panel discussions will be organized on topical issues such as modern export promotion tools, the cluster development model, and the role of the education system in creating innovations.
For the first time, a round table for women entrepreneurs will be organized as part of the forum. Businesswomen from the Vitebsk region and partner regions of Russia will gather in this format to discuss issues of business education and subcontracting. The business program of the forum also includes thematic expositions "Clusters - Drivers of Regional Development", "Innovative Developments and Products of Vitebsk Region Enterprises", "Youth Innovative Business Projects", and an exhibition of districts under the general title "Vitebsk Export - 2022".
In 2021, more than 30 delegations and representatives of the diplomatic corps from 13 countries participated in the events of the IX International Economic Forum.
