Gennady Egorov has been appointed head of the main department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of the regional executive committee
Gennady Egorov was born in 1963 in the village of Poddubye, Liozno district, Vitebsk region. After graduating from the Vitebsk Industrial College, he worked as a geodesist technician at PMK No. 28 of the Liozno district. In 1982-1983, he served in the navy.
He has higher education. In 1988, he graduated from the Kaliningrad Higher Naval School, and in 2011, from the State Educational Institution "Institute of Retraining and Professional Development" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus.
From 1988 to 1993, he served in officer positions in the units of the Baltic Fleet of the USSR Navy.
From 1993 to 2013, Gennady Egorov worked in the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. He rose from the position of State Fire Supervision Inspector to the First Deputy Head of the Department. From 2011 to 2013, he was the Head of the Ideological Work Department of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Since 2013, Gennady Egorov has been engaged in public work, heading the Regional Coordination Council of Public Associations and Political Parties and one of the largest public organizations – the regional organization of the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans.
He is married. He has a son.
