Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Sergeenko met with the asset of the Sharkovshchyna district

The situation in Belarus, around it, and in the world as a whole, the growing political and military tension – issues that concern everyone without exception today, both in the capital and in small district centers, were also raised at the meeting. Mentioning the draft Concept of National Security, which will be submitted for public discussion in the near future, Igor Sergeenko stated:

– The real danger from the western grouping of troops, which are mainly deployed in Poland, as well as in the Baltic states, is evident today. Just as the military preparations, the buildup of military power, and provocative actions towards us are visible and understandable. Over the past year alone, more than 300 offensive exercises have been conducted in Europe. At the same time, Russia and Belarus are depicted as the enemy on the maps. Accordingly, we are reacting adequately. We are conducting operations to improve the combat readiness of our troops, including joint exercises within the framework of the Union State. It is difficult to predict how the situation will unfold. Our task is to overcome this threshold and prevent escalation and the emergence of another hotbed and, God forbid, a hot conflict.

 

At the same time, Igor Sergeenko emphasized that while wishing to preserve the main thing – peace, we are ready to give a tough rebuff, and everything is being done and is available for this.

The issue of fugitives was touched upon, attempts to destabilize Belarus from within, which, there is no doubt, will continue and to which there will be an appropriate, logical reaction. The economic situation of Belarus was discussed, which, under unprecedented sanctions pressure, managed to reorient sales markets and establish new business contacts. Trade and economic ties with the Russian Federation have only strengthened. About 80 percent of the union economic programs have already been implemented.

The social sphere remains a priority, the Head of the Presidential Administration emphasized:

– Much will also be done in Sharkovshchina, which will host the regional "Dozhinki" in 2023. Yes, the region cannot boast of high soil fertility or developed industry, but it has the main wealth – hardworking, talented people.

This is the very golden reserve that should not go unnoticed. Maya Yakimovich, Chairperson of the Hermanovichi Village Executive Committee, spoke about the fact that people's interests and problems are heard during a meeting with the asset. She thanked the local authorities and personally Igor Sergeenko for the completely transformed two-kilometer section of the Hermanovichi – Pronyany road, the repair of which local residents had been waiting for a long time.
