The Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies presented gifts to large families in the Liozno district

On the eve of September 1, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin presented certificates and gifts to five large families from the agro-town of Adamenki, Liozno District, which will help parents prepare children for school.

The event took place in the cozy hall of the Liozno Cultural and Health Center, where the district leadership, parents, children, and representatives of OJSC "BelVitunipharm" – the organization managing OJSC "Adamenki," where most of the residents of the eponymous town work today – gathered over a cup of tea.

– I have two daughters myself, one of whom is already studying at university, and the second one, like your children, is going back to school this year, so I understand how much time and money it takes to prepare children for the start of the school year, – noted Alexander Subbotin. – I hope that the gifts and certificates that we presented today with OJSC "BelVitunipharm" will help prepare children for school.

The head of the region also noted that during the summer, large-scale preparations for the start of the school year are traditionally carried out in educational institutions in all districts of the region. Funds for school repairs, renovation of classrooms, purchase of equipment, and support for families are allocated from the republican, regional, and district budgets, and various organizations also provide assistance.

– We have five children in our family, three of whom are minors, and two of them need to be sent to school, so this process is always a financially costly undertaking for us. However, thanks to such support as today, we are almost ready for school, we only need to buy shoes and outerwear for the autumn, – said Nadezhda Kulakova. – We are looking forward to the start of the school year, and, of course, we will celebrate September 1.

Lyubov and Vladimir Bondarev arrived at the meeting with their three children, the youngest of whom, Roman, is only one month old. The couple thanked the distinguished guests for their support and noted that the children are eagerly awaiting the start of the school year: the eldest daughter, Polina, a tenth-grader, is transferring to a new school, and the middle son, Viktor, celebrates his birthday on September 1 and will enter the 4th grade.

“I really want to go to school, I miss my teachers and classmates already. I have already packed my schoolbag, there are notebooks, books, and stationery in it,” said Viktor Bondarev. “On September 1, I will come to school as I should – in a suit, with a tie, and with flowers.”

According to the chairman of the district executive committee, Ivan Fedorov, all schools in the Liozno district are ready for September 1, and cosmetic and major repairs have been carried out everywhere. Also, all families raising schoolchildren were paid wages so that parents could get their children ready for the new academic year.

“As of today, there are 165 large families in the district, and six of them have five children each. We pay them priority attention and provide assistance in the district,” noted Ivan Fedorov. “For example, on Saturday, during the celebration of the Day of the town settlement, we solemnly opened a new 40-apartment building and handed over the keys to five large families who will now live in it.”
