Gleb Lapitsky: this year, about five thousand people from more than 25 countries will take part in the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival

Preparation for the XXXI International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", which will be held from July 14–17 (with additional events on July 13 and 18), is proceeding according to plan. Noting this, Gleb Lapitsky, General Director of the Vitebsk Culture Center and Festival Director, stated that this year, about five thousand people from more than 25 countries are expected to participate in the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk".

— The festival's program includes about 40 projects at concert venues, theater stages, and the philharmonic hall. The program has been finalized and published on the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" website. We are observing a high demand for tickets and active booking. Large corporations from Russia and tourist groups from the Baltic states – Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania – are placing particularly large orders. This is a positive development. We are also offering discounts to festival guests. If an organization purchases more than 50 tickets, a five percent discount applies to the next fifty tickets, Gleb Lapitsky explained.

Tickets for the festival season are available for purchase on the festival's websites, kvitki.by, and ticketpro.by. During the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk," 20 venues and institutions in the city will host festival events. All of them are preparing for the arts forum. For instance, the Vitebsk Culture Center – Festival Directorate is undergoing cosmetic repairs and a color rebranding, restoration of the 1000th Anniversary of Vitebsk Bridge is underway, and the Vitebsk Concert Hall and the central staircase leading to it are being renovated. Incidentally, an open-air festival venue with a capacity of 3,500–4,000 people will be opened here for the first time, featuring a stage, food courts, and food trucks. This is the planned location for the "Rhythms of Summer" project and the youth disco "Vitebsk Dance Night" with the participation of Belarusian and Russian DJs.

— The Summer Amphitheatre and the staircases leading to it have begun to be repaired. The installation of sound equipment has already started, because on May 30-31, the school "Last Bells" ceremonies will traditionally be held in the amphitheatre, and this equipment will be completed for the festival, — shared the director of "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". — All repair work at the festival venues will be completed by July 5. Funds for these purposes are allocated from the regional and city budgets, as well as from the extra-budgetary revenues of our institution.

As before, the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" is financed from the budgets — the republican one through the Ministry of Culture, the Union State, the regional one — and extra-budgetary funds spent by the Directorate of the Festival from ticket sales, as well as by attracting sponsors and partners. This year, the Union State budget will increase due to the expansion of the program of union events at the festival. For the first time, it will be three days long. On July 15, the gala concert "Union State Invites..." will be held in the amphitheatre, on July 16, the forum of opera art will be held for the first time at the Philharmonic Hall, and on July 17, in the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall, as part of the Days of the Union State, spectators will meet with prize-winners of international pop song performance contests of different years.
