How to improve the quality of information and explanatory work of state bodies in the Vitebsk region was discussed at the regional executive committee
Representatives of the ideological vertical, mass media, printing houses, public organizations of the region, the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Information, and the Ministry of Education took part in the discussions. Taking into account the epidemiological situation, the event was held in a video conferencing format.
– Much is being done in the country and the region to educate citizens so that they feel their responsibility and role in the formation and development of our state. It is important today to showcase the work that is being done. To convey truthful information to our people about what is happening in the country, it is important to do it promptly and use all available sources, not only traditional television and print media, but also to engage in constructive dialogue with the public on social networks, – believes Viktor Liskovich, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Education, Science, Culture and Social Development of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
Regarding interaction with youth, Viktor Andreevich recommended avoiding formalism and finding new approaches in communicating with the younger generation, fostering a sense of patriotism and civic duty starting from kindergarten.
In turn, the Plenipotentiary Representative for Religious and National Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Rumak, proposed to more actively involve religious denominations in interaction with society and in solving social problems.
– In the Year of Unity declared in Belarus, it is important to preserve the ethno-confessional peace in our country, which we can be proud of. For centuries, people of different faiths and nationalities have coexisted on our land, and in the current turbulent times, we see what happens in various countries when peace and harmony are disrupted by the thoughtless actions of certain social groups, sometimes leading to civil wars. Therefore, it is extremely important to convey to people the value of confidence in the future, peace of mind for their children, relatives, and loved ones. The institution of religious denominations enjoys trust among the population, and this must be used. It is important that representatives of denominations existing, including in the Vitebsk region, can express their position on preserving family values and participate in the implementation of social programs. Cooperation between government bodies, organizations, and religious denominations is a guarantee of maintaining stability and peace in our future, – emphasized Alexander Alekseevich.
A number of issues that will require special attention in the new year were outlined by the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Penin. These include the creation of an effective personnel reserve in the ideological vertical, its replenishment with specialists who are willing and able to work with Internet resources, the creation of effective primary organizations of the trade union association, and improving the quality of information and explanatory work in labor collectives.
– Meetings of information groups with labor collectives should be constant, which is being done today, however, we should move from quantity to quality. We must clearly understand the problems within the collective and engage in constructive dialogue, – summarized Vladimir Petrovich.
At the end of the meeting, the results of the competition for the best department of ideological work (culture) and youth affairs of the Vitebsk region for interaction with the BRSM for 2020 were announced.
