The number of trade union primary organizations in the Vitebsk region increased by 167 organizations in 2022

A trend towards an increase in the number of primary trade union organizations has emerged in the Vitebsk region. In 2022, their number grew by 167. This was announced today at the VI Plenum of the Council of the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association by its chairman, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, Yuri Derkach.

According to him, there are currently 15 industry trade unions operating in the Vitebsk region, with over 381 thousand members, or almost 83% of those employed in the economy:

– Over the year, we have grown by 167 primary trade union organizations. In total, there are currently 3,403 primary trade union organizations functioning in the region.

 

Yuri Derkach also emphasized that the trade unions fully share the views on the development of the state and our society:

– We are vitally interested in preserving the constitutional order, in the sovereignty and independence of our state, we stand for unity, stability, peace, and creation. Our work, social support for employees of enterprises under sanctions, and statutory activities are a worthy response to unfriendly, politicized decisions regarding the Republic of Belarus.

 

The state has ensured peace, a fair contract between the state and society, with the working person at the center. And how quickly our lives will improve depends on each of us, Yuri Derkach added.
