The "Vitebsk" Concert Hall is closed for renovation
Концертный зал "Витебск" - одна из основных площадок Международного фестиваля искусств "Славянский базар" - закрылся на очередной этап реконструкции до июня.
"Сейчас мы делаем основной упор на внутренних работах. Ежедневно на объекте работают около 200 человек. В ближайшем будущем планируем двусменный режим работы: 8 января провели последнее мероприятие, и теперь массовые мероприятия в концертном зале не будут проводиться до возобновления его работы уже после ремонта, то есть июня 2024 года", - сказал генеральный директор ЦК "Витебск" Глеб Лапицкий.
Объект включен в государственную инвестиционную программу. Финансирование работ по капитальному ремонту осуществляется из республиканского, областного и городского бюджетов. В этом году планируется освоить около Br20 млн. Как пояснил Глеб Лапицкий, примерно такая же сумма была направлена за предыдущие полтора года. Наружные работы уже выполнены на 95%. Преобразился внешний облик дворца, появились привлекающие взгляды эффектная подсветка, светодиодный экран, лестницы, новое оформление получила прилегающая территория.
Сейчас на объекте проводится замена внутренних инженерных систем, для помещений приобретается оборудование. Видеопроекционное оборудование и светодиодные экраны уже закуплены, теперь очередь за звуковым и световым, благодаря которому концертный зал обретет техническую независимость.
"Техническое состояние концертного зала не позволяет без привлечения арендного оборудования проводить массовые мероприятия, включая "Славянский базар", Международный фестиваль современной хореографии (IFMC), - уточнил Глеб Лапицкий. - Закупив это оборудование, мы сможем проводить мероприятия своими силами и оказывать необходимую помощь - техническое содействие не только на городских, но и областных и республиканских мероприятиях".
Большую часть ремонтных работ выполнят до 10 июня, однако финансирование будет осваиваться до конца года, уже после Форума регионов Беларуси и России (КЗ "Витебск" - одна из площадок для проведения форума) и "Славянского базара". Решить предстоит не только строительные, но и логистические вопросы, чтобы оборудование приехало в срок.

"Currently, we are focusing on interior work. About 200 people are working on the site daily. In the near future, we plan to switch to a two-shift work schedule: January 8 was the last event, and now mass events will not be held in the concert hall until its reopening after repairs, i.e., June 2024," said Gleb Lapitsky, General Director of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Center.
The facility is included in the state investment program. The funding for capital repairs is provided from the republican, regional, and city budgets. This year, it is planned to utilize approximately Br20 million. As Gleb Lapitsky explained, a similar amount was allocated over the previous eighteen months. Exterior work is already 95% complete. The palace's appearance has been transformed, with eye-catching spectacular lighting, an LED screen, staircases, and new landscaping of the adjacent territory.
Currently, the replacement of internal engineering systems is underway at the facility, and equipment is being purchased for the premises. Video projection equipment and LED screens have already been procured; now it's the turn of sound and lighting equipment, which will grant the concert hall technical independence.
"The technical condition of the concert hall does not allow us to hold mass events, including the 'Slavianski Bazaar' and the International Festival of Modern Choreography (IFMC), without using rented equipment," Gleb Lapitsky clarified. "By purchasing this equipment, we will be able to hold events with our own resources and provide necessary assistance – technical support not only for city events but also for regional and national ones."
The majority of repair work will be completed by June 10, however, funding will be utilized until the end of the year, after the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia (the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall is one of the venues for the forum) and the "Slavianski Bazaar." It will be necessary to resolve not only construction but also logistical issues to ensure the equipment arrives on time.
"When""We are talking about funding, our main task is to use the money as profitably as possible. After all, you can do one thing, or, having thought it over with the customer, solve several problems for the same amount - this is the rational use of funding allocated by the state," emphasized the general director of the cultural center.
The training process is not interrupted. The ensembles that previously practiced in the Concert Hall premises have moved to other cultural institutions in the city.
"Our concert hall will be grand, but at the same time, in each of the interiors, we try to maintain a soulful atmosphere. After all, the concert hall is an architectural dominant of Vitebsk. In addition to being an entertainment venue, it is also a place where about a thousand children come to practice every day. The hall carries a significant educational load through culture and art. We are trying to do everything to ensure that every person (whether they come just for a ticket, for a corporate event, or a big concert), including people with disabilities, feels comfortable and pleased."
The "Vitebsk" Concert Hall is a branch of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Center and one of the city's main festival venues. The complex of facilities located in Frunze Park includes, among other things, a round (dance) hall and a concert hall. During the "Slavianski Bazaar" festival, the venue hosts some solo performances by artists and a children's music competition.
