Summer 2024: Where to swim in Vitebsk and Vitebsk region - officially permitted places

Hot weather is expected this coming weekend. Many residents and guests of the regional center will go to relax at reservoirs. But when choosing a place for pleasant pastime, one should remember that not all reservoirs are suitable for recreation, warn rescuers.

62 public places for mass recreation by water have been designated in the Vitebsk region.

Vitebsk
In the regional center, there are three beaches where swimming is officially permitted: in the Park of the Soviet Army ("Mazurino"), in the area of water intake No. 1 on the Western Dvina (near this park), and on the artificial reservoir near the village of Sokolniki.

Vitebsk District
In the Vitebsk district, swimming is allowed on the southern shore of Lake Tulovo (1600 meters north of the agro-town of Tulovo along the H2328 highway), Lake Sosno (in the area of Proletarskaya Street, Dolzha village), Lake Polonskoye, 500 meters south of Vorony village.

Beshenkovichi District:

·        Artificial reservoir Chistye Prudki in Beshenkovichi (150 m to the southeast of the building of the healthcare institution "Beshenkovichi Central Regional Hospital" located at the address: Beshenkovichi urban settlement, Vitebskoye Highway 36).

Braslav District:

·        Vidzovskoye Lake (shoreline with water area along the H-2111 "Vidzy-Drisvyaty" highway, border of the Lithuanian Republic (right side) in the direction of Podvorinka village from Vidzy town);

·        Drivyaty Lake (shoreline with water area from Gagarin and Bulochychik streets, Braslav town);

·        Drivyaty Lake (shoreline with water area along Naberezhnaya Street, Braslav town (right side) in the direction of the Drivyaty recreation center);
