The best team of the military-patriotic game "Orlyonok" will be chosen in the Vitebsk region
The regional stage of the republican military-patriotic game "Orlyonok" will be held on June 12 on the territory of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the regional committee of the BRSM.
The game plans to gather over a hundred participants from different parts of the region. These are children aged 14 to 16, students of general secondary education institutions. Ten teams from Beshenkovichi, Vitebsk, Lepel, Orsha, Senno, Chashniki and Sharkovshchina districts, as well as Novopolotsk and Vitebsk, will compete for victory. The regional center will be represented by two teams at once. The Vitebsk Cadet School team also applied for participation. According to the game regulations, it automatically qualified for the republican final.
Young men and women in the regional tour of "Orlyonok" will face several challenges. Assembling and disassembling a Kalashnikov rifle, loading a magazine with training cartridges, an obstacle course, throwing a grenade for accuracy - this is part of the "Team Time" military game program. Teenagers will do pull-ups, tug-of-war, and more during the "Courage! Bravery! Honor!" competition. A review of drill training and a creative competition, during which teams will release a combat leaf, will also take place here. The intellectual component of the program will be the quiz tournament "We Remember the Past, We Are Proud of the Present, We Think About the Future!". Its questions will be related to the history of the country.
The vast majority of participants are young men, and each team will include two girls. According to the organizers, female representatives often provide worthy competition to the guys. "The teams are preparing thoroughly, some of the guys are participating for more than one year. We can confidently say that the level of team preparation is noticeably increasing with each time, as is the interest in the game," noted the regional committee of the BRSM.
The regional committee of the Youth Union acted as the organizer of the game. The competitions are held with the support of the main department of ideological work and youth affairs, the main department for education of the regional executive committee, and the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade. The winners of the regional stagewill represent the northern region in the republican final of "Orlyonok", which is scheduled in the Brest region from June 15 to 20.
