The International Economic Forum and the Republican Universal Exhibition-Fair opened in Orsha
– The economic forum, which has become traditional, provides an opportunity to expand the scope of trade and economic relations, introduces residents and guests of the region to the products of the country's leading manufacturers, innovative and investment potential, and allows for the establishment of new mutually beneficial ties, – noted Sergey Pats, First Deputy Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee, welcoming the participants of the event.
Thus, the theme of the first day was international cooperation and interaction between partner cities. A teleconference connected the participants of the plenary session from Nanchang (China), Tver, Smolensk, St. Petersburg, Vyazemsky and Gagarin districts of the Smolensk region of the Russian Federation.
Each presented the investment potential and business prospects of their region. A significant event was the signing (online) of a memorandum of trade and economic cooperation between the pilot zone of regional trade and economic cooperation "China-SCO" and "Bremeno-group" LLC.
– The uniqueness of this business platform is obvious. It is an opportunity to jointly search for additional development niches, exchange experience, talk and discuss how to more effectively realize the industrial, innovative, transport and logistics potential of the regions, – emphasized Natalia Vorobyova, General Director of the Vitebsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. – I want to note the fact that the total number of agreements signed during the forum by regions and business circles is constantly increasing. The region has great growth potential. A legal framework is being established and implemented here to provide benefits for business in order to create a comfortable business environment.
Undoubtedly, businesses choose the region where the conditions are most comfortable, where the local authorities fully guarantee support for business initiatives. Once again, the Orsha region is becoming a platform for the development and strengthening of economic and business ties, and for maintaining a constructive dialogue between business and state administration bodies. Today, the economic entities of the contact and cooperation exchange, with the participation of some territorial chambers of commerce and industry of the regions of Russia, presented their development potential and the products they produce.
Another significant event of the day was the opening of the Confucius Classroom of the Republican Institute of Sinology named after Confucius of Belarusian State University at Secondary School No. 16, with the support of the Chinese side.
A job fair for applicants will be held on all days of the forum. Representatives of universities of the regional center, Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, and the vocational education system of the Orsha district will help graduates choose their future profession.
At the universal exhibition-fair "Orsha Traditions", which has spread its rows on the territory of the Ice Arena, food products, industrial goods, horticultural products, and many other goods from domestic and Russian manufacturers are offered to visitors.
