Interregional center for early intervention opened in Postavy
An inter-district early intervention center has been opened in Postavy. It is located in the district polyclinic and is designed to provide assistance to young patients and consult their parents. Each of the specialists – a pediatrician, a psychologist, and a speech therapist, as well as auxiliary services – is ready to begin their duties: to monitor children from birth to 3 years of age who have developmental changes, and to consult parents.
– The first years of a child's life are the most crucial period, – says Olga Rusak, a child psychologist at the Postavy Central District Hospital. – And if for some reason there are deviations from the norm in development, doctors and parents can quite possibly level them out. Timely assistance increases the chances of raising a healthy person.
The center serves children from Postavy, Sharkovshchina, and Braslav districts who require specialized assistance.
