A multifunctional sports and recreation complex was opened in Chashniki as part of the city's Day celebration

For the implementation of the project, unused buildings of the former mechanical workshop and administrative building of the district agricultural chemistry, built in the early 2000s, were put into economic circulation. The first stage of work included roof modernization. Replacement work was carried out from 2012 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, over 600 thousand rubles were allocated from the district budget. Due to lack of funding in 2018, construction was frozen.

After the President of Belarus signed the decree "On additional measures to solve urgent issues of the population's life support" and took the construction of the physical culture and sports complex under his personal control, the implementation of the investment project resumed. 1.2 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget for the continuation of the reconstruction of the facility in Chashniki.

– The physical culture and sports complex is not only a good gift for the residents of Chashniki, but also for the residents of neighboring districts. A magnificent swimming pool, wonderful sports and fitness rooms, a cozy cafe. In the near future, we are commissioning a similar facility in Glubokoye. There is no need to wait for the "Dazhynki" festival-fair of village workers to build such a facility. I want to express my gratitude to the former chairman of the Chashniki District Executive Committee, Leonid Pleschko, who took responsibility and courage to undertake the construction of this serious facility. Thanks to the current local authorities, the project has been completed. I would really not want the swimming pool to be empty. Significant funds are spent on its maintenance. It would be great if our youth and people of different ages visited the complex and took care of their health. Taking this opportunity, I want to congratulate the young Chashniki footballers on their victory in the republican competitions among children and youth "Leather Ball". They are the best in the republic! – noted the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev.

Construction work of the complex was carried out by LLC "Vector –A". The reconstruction, the main result of which is a modern sports facility, began on Leninskaya Street: the road leading to the sports complex has been asphalted, and next to the facility, there is a parking lot for 106 cars.

The plans for the new Sports and Recreation Complex are impressive. A game hall for football and volleyball with modern flooring, stands, and a commentary booth. Rooms for a sauna, a small-sized swimming pool. In a separate hall – a larger pool, 25 by 11 meters, with four lanes available for swimming enthusiasts. The project includes stair access, hydromassage, and a lift for people with disabilities. A cafe, a gym and fitness room, a children's room, and a cosmetology office. Undoubtedly, the new Sports and Recreation Complex will become a base for training young athletes, as well as a place for active recreation.

The total cost of the facility exceeded 8 million rubles. After the allocation of the republican tranche, the facility was financed by funds from the district budget.

Chashniki celebrated the 518th anniversary of the city brightly and on a large scale. Residents of the district and guests of the holiday could take an excursion through the exhibition halls of the Chashniki Historical Museum and around the city. Festive trade was organized on the main streets and the central square of the district center. Children could have fun on the attractions.

Thematic and sports grounds, an exhibition of modern equipment, and an open-air plein air by amateur artists "We Draw Chashnichchina" were functioning.

In addition, a motor rally was held as part of the regional civic-patriotic marathon "United" for the Day of National Unity.

Guests and residents of the city enjoyed the open district art competition "I Draw Chashnichiyna", the photo contest "I am proud of you, my city!", the "Parasol Show" contest, the district competition-exhibition of creative works "Memory and Pain of the Belarusian Land", the exhibition-competition of floral compositions "Autumn Carnival", and demonstration performances by the regional organizational structure of DOSAAF.

At the solemn event "We have something to be proud of", Certificates of Honor were awarded, including from the regional organization of the RPO "Belaya Rus".

In the evening, Chashniki residents and guests of the holiday were awaited by the "Beloved City" flash mob, the "17" internet challenge, and the "Holi Colors" festival for children. There was also a concert by Belarusian pop artist German Titov and the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Ne Tort".

The holiday concluded with a festive disco and a colorful fireworks display.
