The best integration structure in the agro-industrial complex of the Vitebsk region has been named

The best integration structure of the Vitebsk region, formed as a result of the region's agro-industrial complex reform, was named the Postavy Dairy Plant by the Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Anzhelika Nikitina. She stated this following a meeting on the work of the agro-industrial associations of the Vitebsk region, which was held today with the participation of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

She cited several factors that allowed this integration structure to become a leader:

- It was initially small, it had no debts, and not many agricultural organizations were joined to it, only five. Others could have up to 26. In addition, we know how much our dairy products are in demand in foreign markets, and about 70 percent of the Postavy Dairy Plant's production structure is cheese, which is a high-margin product. Moreover, the plant's profitability is currently around 17 percent.

Thanks to cheese production, the Verkhnedvinsk butter plant was ranked second, according to Anzhelika Nikitina

losyrzavod. Regarding the others, the Deputy Chairperson noted that they have a certain positive trend, but it is not yet enough for the enterprises to fully provide themselves with the revenue they need:

- Vitebsk region has always been in a difficult situation regarding land – 15 out of 21 districts are considered unfavorable for conducting economic activities, – added Anzhelika Nikitina. - In principle, a third of the Vitebsk region consists of farms that operate independently. For example, "Novye Goryany", Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm, branches of Vitebskagroproduct. They have built a foundation and today there are no threats to their operations. Farms that have not been included in organizational structures are in a rather difficult situation: they operate at a loss and have an outdated material and technical base. At a meeting with the Head of State, it was decided that these farms should be transferred to the management of industrial, processing enterprises so that they can improve them.
