Novopolotsk residents sent humanitarian aid to refugees on the border
Almost 1 ton of food and warm clothing was sent from Novopolotsk today as humanitarian aid to refugees on the Belarusian-Polish border.
Students of the Novopolotsk Polytechnic College helped load the items and food. Before the transport departed, the member of the Council of the Republic, Chairman of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee Dmitry Demidov thanked everyone who responded to the request and took part in the collection of humanitarian aid in a short period of time.The situation with refugees in the Grodno region cannot leave anyone indifferent. Especially when you see how women and children suffer, how difficult it is for them to survive in the current weather conditions. Therefore, together with the heads of Novopolotsk city-forming enterprises, public organizations, and representatives of private business, we decided to help these people cope with this difficult situation. They are truly in trouble. First, NATO countries invaded them to establish a so-called democratic order, destroyed their statehood, deprived them of the opportunity to live normally, raise children, study, and work. Then they invited them to their countries as refugees, and now we all see what this has led to. Our people cannot calmly watch what is happening. I am sure that everyone has a desire to help," noted Dmitry Demidov.-0-
