A new resident of the FEZ "Vitebsk" will organize import-substituting fish processing production
The project envisages the creation of capacities for primary fish processing, organization of the production of fillets and minced meat, as well as semi-finished products. In the subsequent stages, it is planned to establish waste processing to obtain high-quality fish meal and fish oil. The initial investment volume is estimated at $25 million. During the implementation of the project, it is planned to create at least 300 jobs.
For the placement of production, investors chose a site in sector N1 "Zhurzhevo" on the outskirts of the regional center, for the engineering development of which over Br22 million has been allocated in the last two years. An overhead power line, access railway tracks, and a step-down substation have been erected there. Previously, a fiber-optic communication line and natural gas were laid, and the main water supply network is planned to be commissioned in the first half of 2023.
As a result, favorable conditions have been created for the investment development of this territory. In 2023, in sector N1, FEZ resident LLC "BRR Arshie Eco Health" will begin the creation of a production of biodegradable disposable tableware. In addition, potential investors are exploring opportunities for placing 4 more new productions on this site. This includes the organization of the production of hydraulic cylinders and blanks for them, machining centers, composite reinforcement, as well as the development of medical instrument production.
In total, 58 organizations have been registered as residents of FEZ "Vitebsk", including 24 foreign and joint ventures with capital from 14 countries. In 2022, 7 new organizations received resident status with a total declared investment volume of $44 million for projects involving the creation of more than 800 jobs. In January, LLC "Lesdrevconsult" was registered with a project for the creation of electric and gasoline tools, as well as components, in Polotsk.
The FEZ "Vitebsk" includes 17 sectors located in Vitebsk, Orsha, Polotsk, Postavy, Miory and Dokshytsy districts, as well as in the regional center, with a total area of 2416 hectares.
